The English middle order batsman, Ian Bell, has said that winning a test series in India is a difficult task for the English team, but, not an impossible one.

Ian Bell is one of the regular members of the England test squad. He generally bats at no. 5, but, in the absence of Kevin Pietersen, he had batted at no.4 in the third test match against South Africa two months back. Since Pietersen is not a part of the England test squad for India tour. So, Bell is supposed to continue batting at no. 4 in the three test matches against India.

When asked about the chances of England in the upcoming test series against India, Bell said, “It is obviously going to be a very tough series for us. The conditions over there will be favourable for the slow bowlers and there will be nothing for the fast bowlers. We have got some young batsmen in our squad who are not familiar of playing on those kinds of pitches. So, it’s a huge challenge for us.”

“But, if we go out there and play with a positive mindset, we can win the series. We have got two quality spinners in our squad in the form of Graeme Swann and Monty Panesar. Everybody knows how capable Swann is and Monty will also be handy on the spinner friendly pitches of India.”

“We have got two high class batsmen at the top of the order in the form of Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott. So, we have got quality and if we show the right kind of temperament, we will end up winning the series over there.
On India tour, the England team will play four test matches, two T20 matches and five one day matches. The first test match will start from the 15th of November.
